Burningman Part 2

This photo was taken for our postcard. We found a camp on our way to get free ice cream that did postcards. So we took these gems. hahaha.

The Ganesha art car. Utah Art Car represent!
Me in front of "The Man"
Fire Fire Fire
Fireworks while the man burned.
All of my great, great, great friends. Looove them. Seriously, I have the best friends in the world. And I'm not just talking about the ones in this picture.

Robo-Heart NYC art car.
Another one of our postcard masterpieces. hahah awesome.
I rode a little purple dinosaur that wasn't Barney. And don't mind the harmless there naked guy in the left hand corner. haha. Nudity is a common theme in BM.

The Jellyfish!
Cool art
You could talk to God or have phone sex in the phone booths.
Santa! Who knew he'd be at BM. For some reason my face is REALLY red in this picture. I look like Santa's demonic elf.
More from TuTu Tuesday
SO tired in this picture. I went to bed at 9:00 more than once this vacation. Plus I fell asleep on the back of the art car one night. Hot sun+bike riding+long travels+cold nights+dancing+hooping+recovering from the flu= EXHAUSTED Andrea
The Man.
The temple

Disco kitty & Disco goatman.
Yoga on the playa.
We went to a Bondage Workshop. I still couldn't tie a knot to save my life. Hayley was the only one who really accomplished any of our "assignments"
disco on the playa.
Giant DJ booth, animated screen. This was at one of the main soundcamps (the main soundcamps are like a GIANT outdoor clubs that you had to wear a dust mask and goggles to)
Meow.
At BM, they have a temple where you can write down your intentions, sorrows, things you want to create, manifest or release right on to the temple walls. At the end of BM, they burn the temple and whatever you wrote gets released into the universe. My friend Derrick Price passed away in an automobile accident right before BM, so our friends got one of his shoes and we all wrote a message to Derrick on his shoes and had them burned with the temple. It really helped me deal with his passing. I also released my insecurities and what I hope to manifest in my new marriage.
More art.
The magnitude of BM is crazy, seriously. It's 51,000 people in a 5 mile wide city. It's MASSIVE. I had no idea the enormity of it until I was in it. It overwhelmed me for a few days, especially when it took me 2 days to figure out how to get to the porta potty.
I made Anthony walk a zillion miles across the playa to take a picture of this art car. It's SOOO cute!!! I LOVED IT! I lied earlier, this was my favorite art car.
More pictures of the pretty double rainbow
disco goat man

This guy played with large amounts of electricity. Eeek.
As a wedding gift, our friend got us a ride in the airplane to take aerial photos of BM. SUCH an awesome experience, def one of the highlights. Even when the guy stalled the plan and almost made me mess my pants.

My gypsy costume, and my boobs. The gear made me have clevage, for like the first time in my life EVER.
Cool carriage. I loved this art car. But not as much as the flamingo.
Scott's polar bear art car. Her name is Sutra. Another Utah art car especial.
So nochalant.

Hi,
This is M from Bunnywarez. I found your post because someone sent me a photo of Derrick from the temple (he is wearing our bat jammies in the photo). I was very touched and googled his name with burning man to see if I could learn his story. I love the shoe memorial!
Anyway, if you would like me to send you a copy of the photo I would be glad to do so. You can contact me at m (at) bunnywarezdotcom

I really enjoyed your playa photos. Looks like it was a great year.
