My Mom

HAPPY BIRTHDAY! My mom turns 30 today. (Yes, she had me when she was 8 haha)

Reasons why I love my mom:

1. We say things at the same time.
2. We always know what each other is thinking.
3. She is one of the most hillarious people in the world.
4. She makes the best rolls and fondue EVER.
5. She is selfless and always puts others before herself.
6. She is a smart and beautiful woman. I hope I can be like her.
7. We are EXACTLY alike. I think we were cloned.
8. She has quite the green thumb and has given me an appreciation for beautiful yards and flowers.
9. She is "the bomb" or "da bomm"
10. She is SO fun to travel to Vegas with, unless we get lost in the desert, then we need to "not talk"
11. She is a survivor.
12. She is a VERY strong woman and she is the person who I look up to the most.
13. She is my best friend.

Coming home from work on Friday, I was absolutely dreading cleaning my house and doing laundry, but much to my surprise, Jesten had cleaned the WHOLE house and did ALL of our laundry. Which, is no easy task!!!! It was SUCH a great way to start off the ole' birthday weekend.

THEN, I was anticipating getting a mountain bike, but.. Jesten threw me another curve ball and got me a PUPPY instead. I have been BEGGGGGGGGGGGGGGING Jesten for a puppy for oh... 3 years now.. So I was SHOCKED to say the least when I got my puppy. My puppy isn't ready yet, so I have to wait until July 15 to get him, but that's ok, I'm SURE he will be worth the wait. He is a Boston Terrier and I have named him Dexter, yes, after the Dexter showtime series :)

Here is how good of a sport my mom is.. She slaved away over the hot stove ALL weekend (because of father's day on Sunday too) to make me fondue and my favorite rolls. hahah. She was such a good sport and didn't even complain. :) I feel very spoiled. And of course, the food was SO good. Despite me gaining 291839284983423 pounds.

So thank you guys. And also thank you to all of my great friends who planned and contributed to my surprise party at work, wished me a happy birthday, gave me presents (I'm shallow and like presents), bought me food and lottery cards. YOU GUYS ROCK AND I ABSOLUTELY ADORE YOU. Seriously thanks to all of you.

I can't wait until I have my baby Boston to play with. You know I will post pictures! Also, congrats to our neighbors.. Their mastiff Ilean had a puppy yesterday! Happy fathers day Nick! haha. (for Porter, unborn baby, and new puppy who Lynzi should name, and Kevin.) hahah have to include Kevin. hahaha

Hopefully everyone had a good Fathers Day on Sunday! And TO all of you fathers, happy father's day!

Yeah. My life is so complete right now.

Ugh

So guess how much fun I had yesterday??

First, I was going to go mountain biking and the phrase "I got rained on" is an understatment.. I think the phrase, "I was stuck in the middle of a terrential downpour" more fits the situation. That's always a good time.

Secondly, Jesten went to ride his BMX bike late last night and at 10:00 PM he comes home thinking that he broke his collarbone. Yaaay. And after 11:00 PM, he decided that he needed to go to the ER and get checked out... Sooo, we went to bed at 4:00 AM last night. The good news is, he didn't break his collarbone, the bad news is he dislocated his shoulder and possibly collarbone and pulled his ligaments.. Yikessss! Poor JT :(

I have a few bones to pick with the world.

1. My math teacher. She is a smart cookie, but she yells at people when she doesn't think they are listening. For instance, I was asking a question about how to do something yesterday and I was checking my work to see where I made the mistake and she yells, "eyes up here! You can't expect to learn if you aren't paying attention!" Ugh, I was listening, and I was paying attention. But thanks for being a jerk.

2. Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt. You two are the single most obnoxious heinous people on this planet. Congratulations.

3. Slow ineffective people who miraculously ended up as lawyers. Thanks, you give me hope.
